Remember that we can use the present simple to talk about habits (things that we do regularly), facts (things that are always true) or states (facts that are true for a long time).
For example:
Habits:
We give the teacher a present every month.
She cleans the house on Saturdays.
Facts:
The sun doesn't rise in the west.
Brasilia is the capital of Brazil.
States:
They don't live in a flat together.
Alice works in a hospital
You can find some exercises to practise on this website.
